Applying for Teen Leadership Programs
- CIT & RSIT: This program will run for four weeks at a time and is offered at two different times throughout the summer. There will be one stay-over weekend for each session of CITs/RSIT’s.
- LEAD: LEADs will have the option to volunteer for 3 or 4 weeks after completing their training week. LEADs will not be able to stay over session breaks during the summer.
Leadership Focus
Leadership Focus is for teens who are excited about leadership, interested in working with kids, or who want to be a camp counselor in the future. This two-week session will combine a traditional camp experience with hands-on leadership opportunities and skills workshops. This program is a great introduction to Sealth’s Counselor-In-Training and Riding-Staff-In-Training programs.
Counselor-In-Training
Counselor-In-Training (CIT) is a four weeklong, in-depth leadership program that fosters independence and builds skills in all youth who participate. With the end goal of working towards eventually being a camp staff member, CITs will join a long tradition of spirited, dedicated high school youth. The CIT program brings the love of being at camp into the next phase for campers who look forward to working with youth in a career focused capacity.
Riding Staff-In-Training
Riding Staff-In-Training (RSIT) is a four weeklong, in-depth leadership and horsemanship program that builds confidence in working with campers and horses. RSITs develop these skills to work towards one day being camp staff members. RSITs work closely alongside Counselors-In-Training (CITs) but focus on working with horses as well as kids.
