It’s Summer Camp – For Grown-Ups!
The Campout is an adults-only, glammed up version of the summer camp experience. Imagine days filled with activities like paddleboarding, archery, arts & crafts, and exploring Vashon Island; and nights around a campfire with s’mores and good friends. This 21+ event combines the nostalgia of summer camp with a relaxing getaway to beautiful Vashon Island. Whether or not you attended summer camp as a child, this event has something for everyone.
Schedule & Activities
In 2025, The Campout will be September 12-14.
We offer a wide range of activities, tailored to the interest of participants, and the schedule is entirely flexible so you can decide what you’d like to do. Some of the highlights from 2024 included:
- Team Trivia: Test your trivia skills with some summer-camp-themed and general trivia.
- Campfire & S’mores: There’s nothing better than a classic campfire, s’mores, and songs led by a camp alumn.
- Arts & Crafts such as tie-dye, ceramics, batik, resin crafting, painting, and mosaics.
- Waterfront activities include canoeing, kayaking, and paddleboarding.
- Archery – both daytime and nighttime “glow” archery.
- Hikes, either solo or guided, to explore our 1.5 mile beach and 360 acres of forest.
- Explore Vashon Island – visit local wineries, find the Dambo Troll, explore local parks, or shop downtown Vashon.
- Saturday Night Theme Dinner & Karaoke: On Saturday night, we do it up with a big event – cocktails and appetizers, dress-up dinner, photos, a raffle, games, and karaoke. Stay tuned for our 2025 theme!
- Camp traditions: If you attended camp as a kid, you may recognize some classic traditions like a Pajama Breakfast, grasshopper brownies, Picnic Dinner and more. We bring the nostalgia factor – but we promise you’ll love it even if you didn’t grow up going to camp.

Lodging is in basic, camp-style cabins, which are generally shared between 4-8 people. In most cases, bathrooms/showerhouses are in an adjacent building.
